Old Machine 05:20
I'll turn this old machine until it starts to bleed I can hardly stand I'm weak in the knees Eyes start to squint and I can hardly see This isn't what I dreamt when I thought of the American dream The American dream Drive home from work stop at the bar Drink many drinks heal these scars Kill this pain in my heart I'll finish with whiskey with beer I'll start This isn't what I dreamt when I thought of the American dream The American dream American dream Only problem is it doesn't seem to do me any good This harness I created its just a hook in my back Breaking back breaking down Holding one eye to the sky the other to the ground This isn't what I dreamt when I thought of the American dream The American dream It's done it's over medical bills stacked in the corner I don't recognize this place anymore I don't think I even did before oh oh oh oh All this ads and TV stunts make me laugh puke up my lunch Just a bunch a crap to bought and sold Work the nine to five Better dead than alive This isn't what I dreamt when I thought of the American dream The American dream It's done it's over medical bills stacked in the corner I don't recognize this place anymore I don't think I even did before oh no oh no oh This isn't what I dreamt when I thought of the American dream This isn't what I dreamt when I thought of the American dream This isn't what I dreamt when I thought of the American dream

It's Not Me 04:24
Honey can't you see your the apple of my eye I don't mean the things I say to make you cry Sometimes this world gets in betweem my mind and mouth Picking up on a vibe I feel in the streets Feel the pressure the flame and oh the heat Still only have myself to blame I'll hold my head down in shame Oh no oh no what have I become Oh no oh no what have I become Out in the cold with no coat The season of the sun has turned to coal How many mistakes must it take before I reverse this phase? I'm walking forward with a backward head My hearts knows but my mind is dead Oh no oh no what have I become Oh no oh no what have I become Oh please forgive I know you can't forget I'll have deal with all this regret Oh no oh no what have I become Oh no oh no what have I become

Misty morning blue mountain Peak of the sun the dew is glistening Oh silence I'm listening oh oh Just hold me down And hold me still For awhile Green grass growing High kite flying Leaves are floating away Down the stream from which they came And hold me down And hold me still Just hold me down And hold me still For awhile Path in the woods lead me back to myself This place between heaven and hell Oh it's ringing my bell Just hold me down And hold me still Just hold me down And hold me still For awhile
